Case Study 3

Challenge

Re-purchase revenue was flat. My scrum team was called on to explore reasons why and ask, how might we grow repurchase revenue? We had the additional challenges of being a brand-new team and were called upon to stress-test a new process.

Result

  • New 'My Orders' and 'Order Detail' pages tested better than existing page with a dozen users

  • 2% increase generating approximately 94,000 additional orders, or $7.5 million annually.

Case Study 4

Challenge

When I arrived at Vistaprint, I noticed that UI and UX designers worked independently and were isolated from the product and engineering teams. This hindered collaboration and delayed the process of exploring, testing, and launching site features. As an Associate User Experience Director focused on establishing a consistent product development process, I asked myself, "How can we enhance collaboration to accelerate design exploration?"

Result

  • Collaboration increased between UI/UX and engineers

  • Vistaprint.com had a common design language that worked with its content management system

  • Published a UI Library with patterns, usage guidelines and front end code

  • Sitecore pages utilizing the design system increased by 50% over two quarters to 65% of web site pages on track for full compliance

  • UI/UX designers evolved to product designers
